There are two types of New York Request for Pistol Permit Transfer: a Regular Pistol Transfer and an Assault Weapon Transfer. A Regular Pistol Transfer is for handguns with a capacity of no more than 10 rounds. An Assault Weapon Transfer is for handguns with a capacity of more than 10 rounds.
