The New York Non-Military Affidavit is a document used in the state of New York which states that a person is not currently in the armed forces of any country or in any reserve component of the armed forces of any country. It is used when a person needs to prove to a court or organization that they are not currently serving in the military. There are two types of New York Non-Military Affidavits: an Affidavit of Non-Military Status and an Affidavit of Non-Military Status with Dependents. Both affidavits must be signed by the person in question and by a notary public. The Affidavit of Non-Military Status with Dependents requires additional information such as the name of the person’s dependents, their ages, and their relationship to the person signing the affidavit.
