The New York CLE Certificate of Attendance is a document awarded to lawyers or other legal professionals who have completed approved Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses in New York. The Certificate verifies that the holder has met the CLE requirements of the New York State Board of Law Examiners and is in compliance with the Continuing Legal Education Rules. It is issued in two formats: a physical certificate signed by the provider and an electronic Certificate of Attendance. The physical Certificate of Attendance is generally used when reporting CLE credits to the New York State Board of Law Examiners, while the electronic Certificate of Attendance is used to report CLE credits to other states. The Certificate of Attendance includes the name of the course, the date of the course, the number of CLE credits awarded, the presenter or instructor, the provider, and the provider’s contact information.
