New Mexico Certificate of Completion

All students, except those graduating under a Special Education Individualized Education Plan which specifies an alternative graduation plan, shall be required to earn twenty-five (25) credits to graduate.

An Award is usually 12 credits or more. a Certificate is usually 13 to 36 credits but can be more. a Diploma is 37 or more credits, such as a Level 2 Diploma in Business.

Most communities in California offer adult education classes through your local school district or community college, which let you make up credits that you need to graduate. Adult ed programs are open to students who are 18 years or older. Usually they are free to local residents.

Completion of the certificate demonstrates evidence of specialized education achievement.Yes, the courses you take in a certificate program could help you prepare to earn a professional field-specific certification, but earning a certificate is not the same as becoming certified.

A certificate of achievement is a low-level award or recognition. Their purpose is to recognize that a benchmark has been achieved or that a project has been completed.

Students must complete a minimum of twenty-four credits with at least one of the credits being an advanced placement (AP) or honors course, a dual-credit course, or a distance learning course.

A certificate of completion can increase your marketability it may help qualify you for a new job or enhance other skills you have. Some specialty areas or new job skills may not even be available as a degree option.This could qualify you for an in-demand job.

For our purposes, certificates of completion don't count as diplomas. Students who ran out of high school, but didn't pass the exam, have to get a GED. That wasn't really the purpose of the GED.

"Certificate of Completion" means a form of recognition awarded by a community college for meeting minimum occupational course, curriculum or proficiency requirements.
