New Jersey IFSA — Child Support Enforcement Transmittal #3 — Request For Assistance/Discovery is a form used by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families' Division of Family Development to request assistance or discovery from another state in a child support case. This form is used to initiate requests for assistance or discovery under the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (IFSA). This form must be completed by the New Jersey agency responsible for enforcing the child support order. There are two types of New Jersey IFSA — Child Support Enforcement Transmittal #3 — Request For Assistance/Discovery: 1. Request for Assistance — This form is used to request assistance from another state or jurisdiction in establishing, enforcing, or modifying a child support order, or in locating a noncustodial parent or obliged. 2. Request for Discovery — This form is used to request that another state or jurisdiction provide information regarding assets of an obliged or the obliged’s whereabouts in order to establish, modify, or enforce a child support order.
