The New Jersey Status Change Form is required for employers and employees to notify the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJ DOL) of any changes to the status of an employee or employer. The form is used to inform the NJ DOL of changes relating to an employee's name, address, job title, rate of pay, hours of work, or other job related information. There are three types of New Jersey Status Change Forms: the NJ-927, NJ-927W, and NJ-927Y. The NJ-927 is used to report changes to an employee's status such as marital status, name, or address, while the NJ-927W and NJ-927Y are used to report changes to an employer's status such as the addition or removal of an employee, a change in the rate of pay, or a change in the number of hours worked.
