New Jersey Order to Reclassify Proof of Claim From Secured to Unsecured is a legal document which is used to change a creditor's claim from a secured to an unsecured status. This document is used when a debtor has filed a bankruptcy case and the creditor has a secured claim against the debtor's property. The order allows the creditor to receive the same amount of money that it would have received had the debt been unsecured. There are two types of New Jersey Order to Reclassify Proof of Claim From Secured to Unsecured: involuntary and voluntary. The involuntary order is issued by the court when the debtor has not paid back the money owed and the creditor has not taken any action against the debtor's assets. The voluntary order is issued when the creditor agrees to change the status of the debt from secured to unsecured.
