A New Hampshire McCrea Affidavit — GM Cases only is a legal document used to establish the domicile of a minor child in New Hampshire for the purpose of a parenting dispute. This affidavit is typically filed in conjunction with a Grandparents' Motion to Intervene, and is used to prove the minor child's domicile in New Hampshire in order to invoke the jurisdiction of the state's court in the dispute. There are two types of New Hampshire McCrea Affidavit — GM Cases only, depending on the parties involved: 1) When the minor child's parent or parents are not in New Hampshire, the affidavit must be completed by an adult who is related to the minor child by blood, marriage or adoption and who is also a resident of New Hampshire; and 2) When the minor child's parent or parents are in New Hampshire, the affidavit must be completed by either the minor child's parent or parents or by a relative of the minor child who is also a resident of New Hampshire.
