The Missouri Request For Conference (RFC TL) is a document filed with the Missouri Department of Social Services to request a hearing or meeting with the department. This document must include the name of the person filing the request, the name of the department and the issue or dispute that is being requested. The request must also include a summary of the facts that led to the dispute and the relief or outcome desired. There are three types of Missouri Request For Conference: Administrative Conference, Fair Hearing, and Fair Hearing Review. An Administrative Conference is a meeting between the department and the person filing the request to discuss and work towards a resolution. A Fair Hearing is a formal hearing before a state-appointed administrative law judge in which legal and factual evidence is presented. A Fair Hearing Review is a review of a Fair Hearing decision by a higher authority, such as a Circuit Court Judge or the Missouri Supreme Court.
