Missouri Annual — Final Settlement is the process of completing a final accounting of a business’s financial activity during a specific period of time, typically a year. The process involves an analysis of the organization’s income and expenses, the preparation of financial statements, and the calculation of taxes. The Missouri Department of Revenue requires businesses to file an annual final settlement at the end of the fiscal year. There are two types of Missouri Annual — Final Settlement: 1) Payroll and 2) Sales and Use Tax. The Payroll Annual Final Settlement is used to report the amount of employee wages, taxes, and other deductions, while the Sales and Use Tax Annual Final Settlement is used to report the amount of sales made and taxes collected.
