Minnesota Affidavit and Order for Dismissal is a legal document used in the state of Minnesota to formally dismiss a case. It is filed by the plaintiff (the party bringing the case) with the court, and includes a statement affirming that the plaintiff does not wish to pursue the case any further. The Order for Dismissal is then signed by a judge, officially dismissing the case. There are two types of Minnesota Affidavit and Order for Dismissal. The first is a Voluntary Dismissal, which is sought by the plaintiff and does not require the defendant to take any action. The second is a Dismissal by Court Order, which is entered by a judge after hearing arguments from both parties.
