Minnesota Answer or Answer and Counterclaim is a legal document used in Minnesota courts to respond to a complaint filed by the plaintiff. This document allows a defendant to respond to the plaintiff's claims and to set forth any counterclaims. The answer must include a detailed admission, denial, or explanation of the facts set forth in the complaint. It must also include all defenses and any counterclaims that the defendant may have against the plaintiff. There are two types of Minnesota Answer or Answer and Counterclaim: Answer and General Denial and Answer and Specific Denial. An Answer and General Denial is a document in which the defendant denies all the allegations of the complaint. An Answer and Specific Denial is one in which the defendant admits all the allegations of the complaint except for those specifically denied.
