If you still receive marketing emails or spam after unsubscribing or asking the sender to stop emailing you, complain to the ICO.
To unsubscribe from a list, take the email address of the list, add -leave just before the @ symbol, and send a message. You can email a blank message; the computer doesn't care. The fact that you're emailing the list with the -leave command in front of the @ symbol is all it needs.
For example: Dear Sir/Madam, This is a request that my personal information is removed from all of your mailing lists for unsolicited mail. I would like my name and address removed, effective immediately.

To decide what types of mail you do and don't want from marketers, register at the Direct Marketing Association's (DMA) consumer website DMAchoice.org, and choose what catalogs, magazine offers, and other mail you want to get. DMAchoice will stop most, but not all, promotional mail.
Send a letter to the customer service department of the company that sends you catalogs or other unwanted mail and ask it to remove your name from its mailing list. Be sure to provide the company with all spellings of your name, and the names of any additional household members on the mailing label.
