Michigan Certificate of Correction is a document issued by the Michigan Department of State (MDS) to correct errors on a vehicle title or registration document. It can be used to correct errors such as incorrect vehicle identification numbers (VIN's), incorrect owner information, or incorrect odometer readings. There are two types of Michigan Certificate of Correction: an Original Certificate of Correction and a Duplicate Certificate of Correction. The Original Certificate of Correction is used to correct errors on the original document, while the Duplicate Certificate of Correction is used to correct errors on a duplicate copy. The MDS will also issue a corrected title or registration document with the corrections noted.
