Maryland Standard Interrogatories (LR 104) are a set of questions that parties to a civil lawsuit must answer in written form. These interrogatories are designed to obtain information from the parties to the case and help them prepare for trial. There are three types of interrogatories: general interrogatories, requests for admission, and requests for production. General interrogatories are questions that are used to discover facts or opinions related to the case. Requests for admission require the party to admit or deny certain facts. Requests for production are requests for documents, tangible things, or entries in records. Maryland Standard Interrogatories are used in the state of Maryland and are governed by the Maryland Rules of Procedure, Rule 2-421.
