There are two types of Maryland Psychologist's Certificates: the General Psychologist Certificate and the Advanced Psychologist Certificate. The General Psychologist Certificate is for individuals who have earned a doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution and have completed a minimum of two years of supervised experience in the field of psychology. The Advanced Psychologist Certificate is for those who have earned a doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution and have completed at least five years of supervised experience in the field of psychology.
