Louisiana Redaction Request is a request made by the state of Louisiana to remove personal information from public records. Redaction is the process of removing sensitive information from records, such as Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, and other confidential data. There are two types of Louisiana Redaction Requests: 1) Automated Redaction Request, and 2) Manual Redaction Request. The Automated Redaction Request is an online form that allows individuals to submit their request for redaction of personal information from public records. The Manual Redaction Request is a request made in person at the State Records Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Both types of Louisiana Redaction Requests involve submitting proof of identity and a signed release form. Once the request is approved, the personal information will be removed from the records.
