Indiana Request For Out of State Travel Permit is a document that provides permission for residents of Indiana to travel to another state or country. It is issued by the Indiana Department of Revenue and is required for any Indiana resident who is traveling outside the state for more than 24 hours. There are two types of Indiana Request For Out of State Travel Permit: the Nonresident Travel Permit and the Resident Travel Permit. The Nonresident Travel Permit is for individuals who are traveling to another state or country and who will not be returning to Indiana. The Resident Travel Permit is for individuals who are traveling to another state or country and who intend to return to Indiana. The permit must be obtained prior to the start of the trip and must be presented upon re-entry into Indiana.
