51575- Articles of Domestication, Domestication of a Foreign Corporation into an Indiana, is the process of a foreign corporation becoming a domestic corporation in the state of Indiana. It is a legal process through which a foreign corporation can acquire the status of a domestic business entity and the rights and privileges of a domestic corporation. There are two types of 51575- Articles of Domestication, Domestication of a Foreign Corporation into an Indiana; voluntary domestication and involuntary domestication. Voluntary domestication occurs when a foreign corporation chooses to become domesticated in Indiana. The foreign corporation files Articles of Domestication with the Indiana Secretary of State. The Articles of Domestication must include the name of the foreign corporation, the jurisdiction in which it is incorporated, the name of the proposed domesticated corporation, and the address of the proposed domesticated corporation. Involuntary domestication occurs when the Indiana Secretary of State requires a foreign corporation to become domesticated in Indiana. The Indiana Secretary of State requires the foreign corporation to file Articles of Domestication with the office of the Secretary of State. The Articles of Domestication must include the name of the foreign corporation, the jurisdiction in which it is incorporated, the name of the proposed domesticated corporation, and the address of the proposed domesticated corporation.
