The Illinois Uniform Order for Support (US) is an official legal document issued by the state of Illinois to ensure consistent support orders across the state. It is used to determine the amount of money a non-custodial parent must pay for child support and/or medical support. The US is issued by the court and enforced by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. There are two types of Illinois Uniform Order for Support: a Temporary Order of Support and a Final Order of Support. The Temporary Order of Support is issued when a court hearing has been scheduled and is designed to protect children until a final order is issued. The Final Order of Support is issued by the court after a hearing and is the official document outlining the payment obligations of the non-custodial parent.
