An Illinois Civil Case Management Conference (CCC) is a court-mandated conference between the parties of a civil case in the state of Illinois. The purpose of the CCC is to help resolve disputes without the need for a full trial. The conference is conducted by a judge or magistrate who will review the facts of the case and discuss potential settlement options. The CCC encourages the parties to discuss their differences and come to a voluntary resolution. There are three types of Illinois Civil Case Management Conferences: Pre-Trial, Scheduling, and Settlement. The Pre-Trial Conference is held prior to the trial and is intended to help the parties reach a settlement agreement. The Scheduling Conference is held to discuss a timeline for the trial. The Settlement Conference is held to try and resolve the dispute through mediation and negotiation.
