Illinois Notice of Appeal Transmittal is a document filed with the Illinois Supreme Court when appealing a lower court ruling. It is a form used to inform the Supreme Court of the lower court’s ruling and to provide the court with the information needed to process the appeal. The Notice of Appeal Transmittal must include the appellant’s name, address, contact details, the name and address of the lower court, the case name and number, the name of the judge who issued the ruling, the date of the ruling, and copies of the lower court’s order and any other relevant documents. There are two types of Illinois Notice of Appeal Transmittal: An Emergency Notice of Appeal Transmittal and a Regular Notice of Appeal Transmittal. An Emergency Notice of Appeal Transmittal is required when the appellant needs an immediate decision from the Supreme Court. A Regular Notice of Appeal Transmittal is used when the appeal does not require an immediate decision.
