Illinois Stalking No Contact Order is a court order issued to protect the safety of a person who is being stalked. This order requires the stalker to have no contact with the victim, either directly or indirectly. The order can be issued by a judge to the stalker, and is enforceable by law. The order can include various types of protections, such as prohibiting the stalker from coming within a certain distance of the victim, communicating with them, or entering certain places. There are two types of Illinois Stalking No Contact Order: an emergency order, which is issued ex parte and is effective immediately; and a plenary order, which requires a hearing and is effective upon issuance. Both types of orders can be extended or dismissed by the court.
