An Illinois Transfer Order is an order issued by the Illinois Circuit Court to transfer a case from one court to another. There are two types of Illinois Transfer Orders, namely, Transfer to Another County and Transfer to Appellate Court. A Transfer to Another County is issued when the case is to be transferred from one county court to another county court. This type of order is usually used when the defendant resides in a different county than the plaintiff. A Transfer to Appellate Court is issued when the case is to be transferred from a county court to an appellate court. This type of order is usually used when the plaintiff is appealing the decision of the lower court. Both types of Illinois Transfer Orders require the completion of the necessary paperwork and filing with the court.
