Iowa Articles of Amendment [499.41] are documents used to make changes to a business entity's Articles of Incorporation that have already been filed with the Secretary of State. These documents can be used to make changes to the name of the business, change the type of business entity, change the registered agent, increase the number of shares of stock, among other changes. There are three types of Iowa Articles of Amendment [499.41]: Articles of Amendment of a Domestic Corporation, Articles of Amendment of a Foreign Corporation, and Articles of Amendment of a Nonprofit Corporation. Each type of document must be accurately filled out and filed with the Secretary of State in order for the amendment to be legally recognized.
