Florida Execution is the process by which a death sentence is carried out in the state of Florida. Under Florida law, a death sentence is imposed by a jury and then reviewed by the Supreme Court of Florida. The death sentence is then carried out by lethal injection at the Florida State Prison. There are two types of Florida Execution: mandatory and discretionary. Mandatory execution is required when the death penalty is imposed in a capital case, and discretionary execution is used when a jury is unable to unanimously agree on a death sentence. In either case, the execution process is carried out in accordance with Florida law.
