A Florida Statement of Claim (Probate) is a document that is used to initiate a probate proceeding in the state of Florida. It is a formal document that outlines the claims of the claimant regarding the estate of a deceased person. The statement must include the name of the decedent, the name of their residence, the state of residence, the date of death, and the names of any beneficiaries. It must also include an explanation of the claim, any evidence to support the claim, and a statement of the amount of compensation requested. There are two types of Florida Statements of Claim (Probate): General and Special. A General Statement of Claim is used to make a general claim against the estate, while a Special Statement of Claim is used to make a specific claim against the estate.
