Arizona Mediation — Request and Order is a court-mandated process that is used to settle disputes outside the courtroom. It is an alternative to traditional litigation, where a neutral third-party mediator is used to help parties come to a mutually agreeable resolution. The process involves the parties submitting a written request to the court, seeking mediation. The court then issues an Order, which outlines the parameters of the mediation process. There are two types of Arizona Mediation — Request and Order: Binding and Non-Binding. In a Binding Request and Order, the parties must adhere to the terms of the agreement that is reached through mediation. In a Non-Binding Request and Order, the parties are not required to follow through with the agreement that is reached.
