Arizona Member Structure Attachment (AESA) is a type of steel structure attachment used to connect structural members in buildings that are located in the state of Arizona. It is designed to resist seismic forces, wind forces, and other loads that may be applied to the structure. AESA is available in several types, including shear wall anchors, baseplate anchors, and post-tensioned anchors. Shear wall anchors are used to connect wood and steel members together, while baseplate anchors are used to attach steel members to concrete or masonry walls. Post-tensioned anchors are used to provide additional strength to the connections of steel members. All AESA attachments are designed to meet the requirements of the Arizona Building Code.
