The Arizona Attorney Oath on Admission is a solemn promise made by attorneys upon admission to the State Bar of Arizona. It is a pledge to uphold the highest standards of legal ethics and professionalism in their practice of law. This oath must be taken and signed in open court or in person before the Clerk of the Supreme Court. The oath includes a promise to support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of Arizona, faithfully discharge the duties of an attorney, conduct oneself with integrity and honor, and comply with the laws and rules of the State Bar of Arizona. There are two types of Arizona Attorney Oath on Admission: the admission oath for attorneys admitted practicing in Arizona and the admission oath for attorneys admitted practicing in the Federal District Court.
