Arkansas Articles of Organization are documents filed with the Arkansas Secretary of State to form a Limited Liability Company (LLC). The Articles provide information to the state about the LLC, such as its name, purpose, principal place of business, registered agent and members. It is also important to note that the Articles of Organization must include a statement of the designated purpose of the LLC. There are two types of Arkansas Articles of Organization: the Standard Articles of Organization and the Professional Articles of Organization. The Standard Articles of Organization are used to form a standard LLC, while the Professional Articles of Organization are used to form a Professional LLC. Both documents must be signed and notarized by the organizer and filed with the Secretary of State for a filing fee. Once the Articles of Organization are accepted, the LLC is officially formed.
