Alaska Request to Participate by Telephone is a service offered by the state of Alaska that allows citizens to participate in public meetings and hearings remotely via telephone. This service is available to both members of the public and state employees. There are two types of Alaska Request to Participate by Telephone: the Teleconference Option and the Toll-Free Option. The Teleconference Option provides a direct line to the meeting/hearing in which the caller is interested. The Toll-Free Option allows the caller to connect to the meeting/hearing by dialing a toll-free number provided by the state of Alaska. Both options allow the caller to hear the proceedings of the meeting/hearing and provide comment or testimony.
