Alaska Self-Certification — No Notary Available is a process by which a document signer can legally certify a document without needing the services of a notary public. This process allows individuals to self-certify legal documents in the State of Alaska without the need for a notary public. There are two types of Alaska Self-Certification — No Notary Available: Standard Self-Certification and Special Self-Certification. Standard Self-Certification requires the signer to sign the document in the presence of two witnesses, and Special Self-Certification requires the signer to sign the document in the presence of one witness. Both witnesses must be 18 or older and must sign and date the document in the presence of the signer.
