The Kentucky Notice of Jail Credit and Release (Nonpayment) is a form used by the Kentucky Department of Corrections to inform individuals who are incarcerated in a state facility that they have been given jail credit due to nonpayment of fines or court costs. It explains the amount of jail credit that the individual has been granted and how it will be applied to their sentence. There are two types of Kentucky Notice of Jail Credit and Release (Nonpayment): full credit, which means that all the jail time remaining on the individual's sentence has been credited, and partial credit, which means that only a portion of the remaining jail time has been credited. In either case, the individual is released from jail upon receipt of the notice.
