Marriage License Requirements Applicants over 18 years of age must present a government issued, valid picture ID, driver's license, passport, military ID or birth certificate. Both parties will need to be present when applying for the marriage license if physically possible.
You can complete the Marriage License application form online, then contact our office to pay for the license.
In Illinois you must appear in person at the county clerk's office to get your marriage license; marriage licenses are issued while the couple waits.
Marriage Licenses If your wedding will be in North Carolina, you can get a marriage license from the Register of Deeds in any county in the state. In general, both partners must visit the Register of Deeds office, though some counties allow online applications to be submitted before visiting the office to save time.
Couples will still need to come to the Courthouse to sign the application, pay the $75 fee and get their license, but the online marriage application will cut down on wait time considerably. Under Illinois law, only eligible persons can marry. Both partners must: be 18 years of age or older.
