The fictitious business name statement shall be filed with the County Clerk of the County in which the registrant has his/her principal place of business. If he/she has no place of business in California, it shall be filed with the County Clerk of Sacramento County.
Renew, change, or refile a Fictitious Business Name (FBN) Complete the Fictitious Business Name application. Verify that your current Business Registration Certificate is consistent with the information on the fictitious business name statement. Submit the completed Fictitious Business Name (FBN) form.
Fictitious Business Name Statements must be filed with the clerk of the County in which the registrant has his or her principal place of business. The complete address of the business and of each registrant must be clearly printed on the statement. Post office boxes are not acceptable.
