Lynden Pindling International Airport (IATA: NAS, ICAO: MYNN), formerly known as Nassau International Airport, is the largest airport in the Bahamas and the largest international gateway into the country.
Passengers returning from The Bahamas can bypass customs upon entering their U.S. destination. Through preclearance, all international immigration, customs, and agriculture inspections that are usually performed upon arrival in the U.S. are completed at the Nassau airport prior to departure.
Nassau is one of the few Caribbean destinations that provides pre-clearance for U.S. Customs and Immigration services, allowing flights from Nassau to enter the United States and bypass the normal U.S. Customs and Immigration clearance encountered on most returns from an international destination.

Individuals must obtain a Bahamas work permit to work legally in the Bahamas as a foreign national. Non-Bahamian citizens must first get a valid work permit from the Department of Immigration in order to be allowed to live and work in The Bahamas for a period longer than 90 days.
