How will I know if I have received a space in the Residence Halls? All single, first-year freshmen students who meet all Housing deadlines are guaranteed a space in the Residence Halls.
All students living on campus must check-in to their residential hall no later than p.m. each night, and students may leave the hall after a.m. each day. All students must be in their rooms and adhere to quiet hours at a.m. nightly.
Observe quiet hours (after 10 p.m. every day). Noise should be inaudible from 50 feet during the day, and 25 feet after 10 p.m. Keep music, TV and conversations low. Follow the Riverside Noise Ordinance.
Activities are not permitted from p.m. to a.m., without prior authorization (see Section IV(B) below). Note that the Regents Non-Affiliates Regulations imposes a curfew on entering or remaining on University property between midnight and a.m.

May 1 is the application deadline for freshmen to be guaranteed a space in housing, but they are not guaranteed a particular space. Assignments are made based on application date, so those students who applied early, well before May 1, had the best chances to get their top preferences.
Briefly describe yourself, intertests/activities, living style, and be sure to include a phone #. I would also include a recent picture. Being able to put a face to a possible potential roommate makes a huge difference.
