The roommate selection and matching process is managed by students through the roommate selection process. Students accept or decline roommate requests through the Housing Portal, click on the 2025 – 2026 Academic Year application and go to Roommate Selection.
â–¸How do I create a roommate pair? The initial step in forming a roommate pair involves completing the roommate profile in the Housing Portal. The process proceeds to selecting a roommate, which can be accomplished through three methods: searching by details, profile responses, or suggested roommates.
Students will be able to request one another on the Search for Roommates section of the application. To do so, they will need to know the Screenname of the individual(s) they are requesting.
Many colleges have a matching system to pair you with your future roommate. If they do not, they might do it manually within their housing department. If you are going to an in-state college or going to a college with someone you know, you have the opportunity to choose your future roommate if you so wish.
