The college also has a partnership with a nearby apartment complex, which provides some off-campus housing options for students at a discounted rate. Since there are no actual dorms at NCC, the campus life will be distinct from the residential experience at other colleges.
Adelphi University offers both traditional- and suite-style housing, providing a range of options for incoming students raring for a college living experience. For first-year students, the residence halls include Eddy, Waldo, and Earle Halls. Eddy Hall, which is co-ed by floor, comes with a communal bathroom set-up.
Each student residence has a private bath, and some have kitchens.
Our housing options for incoming students include doubles, singles, corridor and suite options. Living Learning Communities are a large part of our campus and almost 1/3 of students live in an LLC (half of our incoming students!). There are academic based, interest based, and identity based LLC options.
A few have private bathrooms, but most share bathrooms with other suites. We assign students to suites rather than to specific bedrooms. In almost any suite, you should expect to share a bedroom for at least part of the year. Some dorms contain doubles, usually one fairly large room with a shared bath.
In Chapman or Eddy you will have community style living including gender inclusive communal restrooms as well as shared social spaces and events with underclassman students.
Students can visit the Roommate Request page of the Housing contract to search and request a roommate after they have completed the housing contract. For returning students, you can complete this process during contract renewal.
The roommate selection and matching process is managed by students through the roommate selection process. Students accept or decline roommate requests through the Housing Portal, click on the 2025 – 2026 Academic Year application and go to Roommate Selection.
