UTA Housing makes every attempt to pair students that wish to room together, however roommate options are not guaranteed as availability, contracting, and other factors may effect roommate selection. Students use the UTA Housing Portal to select roommates.
Can I still request roommates? If you have both been offered to the same building and room type, then you can mutually request one another on the housing application, and we should be able to assign you to the same room in August.
Students get an opportunity to request specific housemates before the room assignment process takes place. This is an optional step in the application process. All housemate requests are submitted in the StarRez Portal for the session you are applying for.

What to include in a college roommate bio description? Basic information like name, major, hometown. Habits like sleep schedule, music preference, social habits. Whether you're a messy or clean person. Hobbies and interests. Pictures showing different parts of your life.
Briefly describe yourself, intertests/activities, living style, and be sure to include a phone #. I would also include a recent picture. Being able to put a face to a possible potential roommate makes a huge difference.
Being yourself and being open can go a long way to start off this new connection positively. Here's one approach you could try: 1. Greet and introduce yourself: Be courteous and share some basic information about yourself (your name, hometown, and major). Example: "Hi roommate's name, I'm your name.
