The chapters are named in the order of the Greek Alphabet. When the last letter has been used, the next chapter is the Alpha Alpha chapter. The one after that is the Alpha Beta chapter. Next comes the Alpha Gamma chapter.
Bids and invitations: After the rush events, fraternities will discuss potential new members and extend bids (invitations) to select individuals. Receiving a bid doesn't guarantee membership; you'll still need to participate in the new member education process and be successfully initiated.
Chi Omega's first series chapters (single-letter) are named for 24 of the Greek letters and assigned in an order customized to Chi Omega, approximating a reverse alphabetical order.
The names of almost all fraternities and sororities consist of a sequence of two or three Greek letters, for instance, Delta Delta Delta, Sigma Chi, Chi Omega, or Psi Upsilon. There are a few exceptions to this general rule, as in the case of the fraternities Triangle, Acacia, and Seal and Serpent.
Chapter – the campus group of a national organization. Within each organization, chapters are usually referenced via a Greek-letter designation. For example, the founding chapter would be the “Alpha Chapter” and the second is typically the “Beta Chapter”, and so on.
Chapter – The local group of a national or international fraternity or sorority. Inter/national organizations often give chapters a name to designate it from other chapters inter/nationally. This name may be a single Greek letter or combination of Greek letters, and sometimes includes the state.
The main difference between fraternities and sororities compared to cooperatives is that cooperatives do not have a national affiliation so each cooperative house is unique to Purdue's campus. Additionally, members of cooperatives pitch in together to complete cooking and cleaning duties around the house.

Residential neighborhoods are often divided into separate sections. These are considered zones, and the three most common categories have to do with the nature of the structure: Single-family, multi-family and mixed-use.
Zoning codes are a set of rules that regulate what can and can't be done on a particular piece of property. They're established and enforced at the city level.
