Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA)
The Housing Element contains goals, policies, and programs to address the state law requirements and the needs of our unincorporated communities. The County also provides housing services to the entire county through the Housing Authority and Community Development & Housing Agency.
The RHNA is an allocation of the State's projected housing needs split among the various regions and cities of California. The Southern California Association of Governments () serves as the regional planning organization for jurisdictions in southern California.
RHNA is the California State-required process that seeks to ensure cities and counties plan for enough housing in their Housing Element cycle to accommodate all economic segments of the community.
