Dreyfoos School of the Arts was originally founded in 1908 in West Palm Beach as Palm Beach High School, marking it the oldest high school in the county. Originally for white students, Palm Beach High merged with the all-black Roosevelt High School during the 1970-71 school year, forming Twin Lake High School.
The State of Florida Employee Educational Assistance Program allows each state university and community college to waive tuition and fees for state employees to enroll in up to 6 credit hours of courses per term.
The Aspiring Assistant Principals Program is designed for emerging leaders eager to serve in a leadership capacity. It is based on the Florida Principal Leadership Standards and focuses on effective instructional leadership for all student populations.
Pursuant to Section 1009.26(10), Florida Statutes and State University System of Florida Board of Governors Rule 7.008 (F), a classroom teacher in a Florida public school is eligible to use the Classroom Teacher Waiver. The Classroom Teacher Waiver Program covers in-state tuition up to six (6) credit hours.
A student is considered a full-time student when enrolled in 12 or more academic period units or 360 or more clock hours. Although audits carry no credit, they are counted when determining a student's enrollment status.
