Tuition Waiver Program The State of Florida Employee Educational Assistance Program allows each state university and community college to waive tuition and fees for state employees to enroll in up to 6 credit hours of courses per term. However, participation is subject to space-availability.
The Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG) Program is a need-based grant program available to degree-seeking, resident, undergraduate students who demonstrate substantial financial need and are enrolled in participating postsecondary institutions.
Florida State University regards 14- to 15-credit hours as a normal, full-time course load. Students who carry fewer than 12-credit hours are not considered to be full-time students.
Full-time enrollment during the fall and spring semesters is: Undergraduate, credential, and second baccalaureate students: 12 or more units. Master's degree and certificate students: 8 or more units. Doctoral students: 6 or more units.
UCF defines full-time study as nine credit hours (three classes) per semester during the Fall and Spring and six hours (two classes) in the Summer.

A student is considered a full-time student when enrolled in 12 or more academic period units or 360 or more clock hours. Although audits carry no credit, they are counted when determining a student's enrollment status.
Be a Florida resident and a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. A student's residency and citizenship status are determined by the postsecondary institution. Questions regarding such status should be directed to the financial aid office or admissions office of the institution the student plans to attend.
