Form 1098-T is a tax form Maricopa Community Colleges files with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to report your qualified educational expenses for the tax year—such as tuition and fees—that can potentially earn you an education credit.
Requests for a total withdrawal from the college can result in a prorated refund of tuition if you have not completed your courses. Please complete your request using the secured refund exception form. You can also call 480-517-8420 for details.
Be sure to use the federal school code 031563 for Estrella Mountain Community College.
Log in to your Student Center. Click on the Manage Refunds tile in the Finance section. Follow the prompts to select your refund method.
Once a student has officially dropped or withdrawn from classes and is eligible for a refund they must contact Student Business Services at cashiers@mesacc to receive their refund (refunds are not automatically guaranteed or generated). Proper Identification may be required for students seeking a refund.
It is a form of tuition assistance available to those students who demonstrate financial need. Proof of financial need does not guarantee funding. Awarding of the Maricopa Grant is based on the availability of funds. For families/households with more than 8 persons, add $5,380 for each additional person.
