TWC helps students research schools, find funding for education, and handle concerns regarding career schools and colleges. TWC regulates and enforces operations of both licensed and unlicensed career schools.
Additionally, TWC has begun rolling out the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC), adding an additional $600 per week for claimants. Individuals receiving Unemployment Insurance (UI) or federal extended benefits qualify for the additional $600.
The Employment Training Panel (ETP) provides funding to employers to assist in upgrading the skills of their workers through training that leads to good paying, long-term jobs. The ETP was created in 1982 by the California State Legislature and is funded by California employers through a special payroll tax.
Skills Development is administered by the Texas Workforce Commission. The program is funded by appropriations from the Texas Legislature. The program is governed by the following rules and regulations: Texas Administrative Code, Title 40, Part 20, Chapter 803.

After six months of employment, the Tuition Assistance Program provides limited, non-taxable reimbursement to qualified employees for undergraduate or graduate tuition, books, and required fees. Reimbursement amounts vary based on specific degree program(s).
