A minimum of three (3) letters of recommendation are required for most programs. If your program requires less, it will be noted in the Recommendation section of the graduate application.
Choose your favorite and apply for winter admission by July 1-31. IGETC or the UCR breadth pattern for the School of Business is highly recommended. Attain a minimum GPA of 2.7 in all UC-transferable coursework and a minimum 2.5 GPA in the seven lower division major prerequisites.
Most top-ranked graduate programs typically prefer a GPA of 3.5 or better. Exceptions to this rule occur, of course, but many students give up their quest to attend graduate school due to a low (3.0 or less) GPA.

Admission Requirements International first-year and transfer students must complete the requirements below. International first-year students must demonstrate English Language Proficiency by meeting exam benchmarks such as a minimum score of 80 for TOEFL, 6.5 for IELTS, or 115 for Duolingo.
Transcripts & letters of recommendation Don't send official transcripts when you apply. If you're admitted to UC, then you must submit final transcripts to your campus admissions office. UC does not require (nor read) letters of recommendation at the time of application.
