Log in to Academica < Student Resources < Registration < Course Withdrawal.
Start by addressing the letter to the appropriate person, such as your professor or academic advisor. Then, explain why you are withdrawing from the course or program and provide any necessary documentation, such as a doctor's note or proof of a job offer.
A withdrawal from a class (W) is GPA-neutral: instead of a grade, you receive a W notation on your transcript which does not affect your GPA; you also don't earn credits for the course.
To submit a withdrawal request: Log in to Academica > Student Resources > Registration > Course Withdrawal. You must submit a separate request for each class.
In myWSU (myWSU.wsu), go to My Student Center, select Enroll, select the term, select the drop tab, and select the box next to each class. To complete your request click the Drop Selected Classes button, followed by the Finish Dropping button.
Great Lakes Award Undergraduate students who are residents of a state or province bordering a Great Lake will enjoy an award that reduces the out-of-state tuition rate.
Wayne State University students may register for classes on Academica. To begin, visit registration.wayne or click Student Resources > Registration > Registration Portal in Academica. Click Register for Classes if you know which classes you are taking or if you want to see what is available, click Browse Classes.
During the course withdrawal period, you can withdraw from a course with no penalty by withdrawing through Self-Service Banner. A W will appear on your record for the course. For more information on how withdrawing from a course will affect your billing, contact the Cardinal Central at 765-285-2222.
To ensure proper consideration for a medical withdrawal, you are advised to withdraw from the classes prior to the deadline as posted on the Academic and Registration calendar (end of the 10th week for full-term courses). While a request is under review tuition payments should be made as scheduled.
