A student may withdraw from a course and receive a W any time during the course withdrawal period. To officially withdraw from a class, complete the Course Withdrawal form and submit it to the Registrar office within the Course Withdrawal Period listed above.

Withdrawing from Classes Once the Fall or Spring Terms Have Begun. If a student withdraws from all courses, the student will be placed on a Leave of Absence for the semester. Between Week 1 and Week 4 (actual dates are published in the academic calendar) a student may drop a course(s) on-line by logging onto MySuffolk.

After the add/drop period, students may request a withdrawal from a course(s) via Banner under the Course Withdrawal Options. Students will be able to withdraw from one or more courses (at least one course will remain on schedule) or withdraw from all courses (no courses will remain on schedule).

Students officially withdraw from a course by dropping it via the SOLAR System or in person at the Registrar's Office. Students withdrawing from all their courses (or withdrawing from the University) may do so in writing or in person at the Registrar's Office.

If a student wishes to withdraw prior to the 10th week (or equivalent) of class, the student must submit the online Withdrawal Request Form found under Self Service forms on the Registrar's page on The Q.

Students who wish to withdraw from all courses prior to the start of the term, must contact the Student Affairs Office at 617-573-8239, located on the 12th floor of 73 Tremont Street, and submit a Leave of Absence Form or a Withdrawal Form.
